My name is Silvia Berastegui and I am a 27 year old female entrepreneur, originally from the north of Spain, but currently living in the sunny coastal city of Brighton, UK.
I love fashion, travelling, painting, food and books.
After a lot of thinking I’ve finally decided to launch my own blog about ethical fashion and sustainable living. Why you may wonder… Well, a few months ago I made a resolution – to change the way I shop – and basically my entire life – and start making more conscious and ethical choices. This was easy to say but believe me, it was really not easy to do at all!
Since then, a whole new world of skincare products, clothing brands, sustainable businesses and companies have opened up to me, and I absolutely love them. I would like to share them with you and anyone who is currently in the same situation as me – setting out on this adventure of trying to do things in a better and alternative way.
Let’s start then!
First of all, I would like to say that my intention with this blog is to create a space where everyone is welcome. I would like to hear from you; your stories, experiences, opinions… I am sure that if we share our knowledge, we can help each other make better choices and succeed in this enterprise. That’s what people should do, right? Help each other?
I really do believe that a more sustainable and conscious society is possible and one of the pillars of achieving this is to spread the word – hence, the blog 🙂
Our lifestyle does not have to be harmful to others or the planet. On the contrary, our actions, like our shopping habits, could instead help to create a system which empowers people and communities around the world, increasing their opportunities and considerably improving the way that they live. Buying organic and fair trade certified products makes a powerful difference to the world; it helps to improve the lives of the world’s most marginalised communities and it also helps the planet, as the processes involved are kinder to the enviroment and produce much less CO2 and pollution.
These are the reasons, in short, that led me to undertake this change in my life. And I’m so incredibly happy I did.
